How Teams Qualify to Participate
in a Southeast Regional Tournament

Cal Ripken Baseball & Babe Ruth Baseball Tournament Trail Age Groups:
  • 10-Year-olds, 12-Year-olds Major70, 13-Year-olds, 14-Year-olds, 13-15 Year-olds, and 16-18 Year-olds baseball age groups are eligible.

  • Teams must successfully advance through their District (or Area) and State tournaments.

  • Teams must register for the Southeast Regional tournament in accordance with the event instructions contained in the Manager’s Tournament Information Package (MTIP). Only the Host team and the State Champion teams are eligible.

  • Each Southeast Regional tournament is open to qualified Babe Ruth tournament baseball teams located within the States of the Southeast Region.

  • For each Southeast Regional tournament, the champion team will advance to the appropriate age group World Series.

Cal Ripken Baseball Invitational Age Groups:
  • Rookie, 9-Year-olds, 11-Year-olds Major70, and (now) 12-Year-olds Major60 baseball age groups are eligible.

  • Teams must have played through their District (or Area) and State tournaments.

  • Teams must register for the Southeast Regional invitational tournament in accordance with the event instructions contained in the Manager’s Tournament Information Package (MTIP). The Host team and the State Champion teams are guaranteed a slot with all other available slots filled on a first-registered, first-seeded basis.

  • Each Southeast Regional tournament is open to all Babe Ruth tournament baseball teams located within the States of the Southeast Region.

  • For each Southeast Regional invitational tournament, the champion team will advance to the appropriate age group World Series.

Babe Ruth Softball Tournament Age Groups:
  • 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U softball age groups are eligible.

  • Teams must have played through their District (or Area) and State tournaments (unless the Qualifier is scheduled prior to the State tournament).

  • Teams must register for their State Qualifier tournament in accordance with the event instructions contained in the Manager’s Tournament Information Package (MTIP).

  • Each State Qualifier tournament is open to all Babe Ruth tournament softball teams located within the Host State.

  • For each Qualifier tournament, the champion and first runner-up teams will advance to the appropriate age group World Series.
